Essay Writing

 

Common Core success hinges on expressive language—learn how to write constructive responses, detailed summaries, and  a variation of multiple styles of writing. 

How to construct single paragraph and five paragraph essays will be covered. Most schools use these writing formats CEA, CER, TEIAC, and TEAC. If your child finds this challenging don't worry we when support your child to improve their writing skills. 

Students will be introduced to compelling hooks, strong thesis statements, and essay enhancing tricks, and persuasive techniques.

Common Core Reading

 

Reading summer camp is now the best way to stay sharp in the summer and get ready for the new year. 

Common Core’s scaffolding approach for critical thinking reading comprehension will be introduced. Readers will discuss decoding techniques, spelling constructions, and syllable types.

 

Early Literacy we also cover the foundational literacy skills to help new readers.

Student workbooks are provided FREE at no additional costs.

 
Does your child need that little nudge to enhance their reading skills? Individual, one on one tutoring practice reading strategies to improve accuracy, fluency, and comprehension is available. 

Session 1: June 21st-July 1st
Session 2: July 11th- July 22nd
Session 3: July 25th-August 5th
Session 4: August 8th-August 19th 

Each participant will take a reading diagnostic test to determine reading level and areas of need. Additional individual session cans be arranged upon request.
